Hypoparathyroidism

A disorder where too little parathyroid hormone is produced.

Hypoparathyroidism is a condition where the parathyroid gland does not produce enough parathyroid hormone.

Hypoparathyroidism causes increased levels of phosphorus and decreased levels of calcium in the blood. Treatment for hypoparathyroidism includes a diet high in calcium and vitamin D.
